Overview

Genevieve Dynasty Academy ("GDA", "we", "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our platform.

Children & Family Privacy

We take extra care with children's data. We do not collect personal data from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. Parent accounts have full visibility and control over their child's data. No child's personal contact information is ever publicly visible. We comply with COPPA and GDPR requirements for children's data.

Data We Collect

• Account information (name, email, role)
• Learning activity (sessions, progress, assessments)
• Payment information (processed securely via Stripe)
• Communications (messages between learners and tutors)
• Device and usage data (for service improvement)

AI Usage

We use AI to personalize learning recommendations, generate educational content, and assist tutors with lesson planning. AI does not make decisions about learner progression without human oversight. AI-generated content is labeled where appropriate. We do not sell your data to AI training services.

Payments

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your full card details. Payment data is processed in compliance with PCI-DSS standards. Tutors receive payments directly to their Stripe accounts.

Data Handling & Security

Your data is stored securely with encryption in transit and at rest. We use role-based access controls. Data is hosted on secure cloud infrastructure (Vercel, Neon PostgreSQL). We conduct regular security reviews and follow industry best practices.

Account Deletion

You may permanently delete your account and personal data at any time from Settings → Delete My Account within the app. The deletion process requires you to type "DELETE" to confirm, and takes effect immediately.

What is deleted: Your profile, children's data, messages, saved tutors, learning progress, notifications, and session data are permanently removed.

What is retained: Payment records, invoices, payout records, and audit logs are retained in anonymized form for legal and financial compliance. Your email and name are replaced with anonymous identifiers (e.g. "Deleted User").

After deletion, you are immediately signed out and redirected to the homepage. This action cannot be undone.
